Awards
To date, the Education Foundation has awarded over $325,000 to teachers and staff to be used toward innovative educational programs and projects. Additionally, the Foundation awards the L.L. Hale Family Scholarship, established by Mr. James Hale in honor of his family. Each year, this scholarship provides four HHS graduates with $5,000 per year scholarships for four years. To date, scholarships awarded total over $500,000.
Events
The Foundation also sponsors the annual Tradition of Excellence Banquet each spring, which honors the top ten percent of the HHS graduating class, along with each student's most influential teacher. The banquet is a result of the Foundation's mission to support student achievement and encourage staff excellence. This year's banquet (2010 - 2011) will be the thirteenth annual, and to date more than 270 students have been honored.
