Henderson ISD extends its heartfelt condolences to the family of Tommy Alexander (known to many as "Coach A"). Mr. Alexander passed away on Christmas Eve.
Mr. Alexander's 26-year tenure at HISD left an indelible mark on this community. As a coach, maintenance director, assistant superintendent, and finally as superintendent, his dedication to student success and the tradition of excellence was evident. He will be remembered for his commitment to our community and the incredible impact he had on generations of students and staff across East Texas.
Our thoughts remain with Mr. Alexander's family during this time. His enduring legacy at Henderson ISD will not be forgotten.
