(Henderson, Texas) – Dr. Thurston B. Lamb, Jr., Superintendent at Henderson ISD, is among the more than 20 superintendents from across the country working to bolster their leadership skills by enrolling in the prestigious AASA National Superintendent Certification Program.

Administered by AASA, The School Superintendents Association, the program is a collaborative effort with AASA state affiliates, the National School Boards Association, and business and corporate leaders. The master teachers and guest instructors have all been sitting superintendents and have demonstrable track records of success.

“AASA’s National Superintendent Certification Program is one of the best professional development experiences available today for school system leaders,” said Dr. Lamb, I am honored to be among a group of outstanding educators who will be working diligently throughout the next year-and-a-half to complete the process. This program is unique because it provides on-the-ground coaching, mentoring and support from individuals who are experiencing the same challenges and successes that superintendents from across the country are experiencing.”
