Early this afternoon, a middle school student suffered a medical incident while in class. Campus administrators, along with the campus nurse, responded to the classroom and provided first aid. Out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with the student’s parents, paramedics were called to the campus and transported the student to the hospital for further evaluation. Since the incident resulted in a brief disruption to the instructional day, we wanted to notify all parents about the incident. Our thoughts remain with the student and we wish the student a speedy recovery. - HISD Admin

HISD received a report from a student at the Middle School campus today that they had heard about and had seen a threat to the campus posted on social media. We immediately took this report seriously and conducted a thorough investigation to determine the credibility of the threat.
After a detailed investigation involving a number of students and staff, we have found that the threat was unfounded and there is no evidence that there was ever any danger to our school or students. We take all threats seriously and are committed to ensuring the safety of our students and staff.
We appreciate everyone who cooperated with this investigation and want to remind all students that if they ever hear or see anything that causes them concern, they should immediately report it to a trusted adult. It is important that we work together as a community to maintain a safe and secure environment for all.
If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to your campus principal. Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our school safe.
